Discovery of a new carst cave in 2015

In 2015, a new karst cave was discovered in the Gorjanci hills in Slovenia. Initially, only a small hole was spread into a sufficiently large entrance so that the cavers could drop down a narrow throat into a 30x30m huge hall. The beauty and the size of the cave has  stunned us. A detailed survey of all rooms and hidden tunnels was carried out. She was named Dovčk. Unfortunately, due to a dangerous entrance, it is not open to the public. The cave was discovered by Andrej Olovec, who is also a member of the Brežice Cave Club.
