How to make a chain mail

I bought 1.2mm thick galvanized wire, several hundred meters in lenght and rolled it on a bar. Then I cut rings with wire scissors and sewed them with pliers. Sewing of rings lasted for about 200 hours. Of course I had help and my friend Gregor Perko who sewed two thirds of the chain mail. He is now professional chain mail sewer and has complited several of them.

  1. Whoa!! That’s incredible! I am fascinated by these old crafts being resurrected.
